Structure and Carving: The slightly enveloping "boat" backrest is surmounted by a richly carved cymatium with a central rose window motif and symmetrical lateral volutes. The armrests are masterfully finished with an acanthus leaf decoration that descends in a sinuous line towards the uprights.
Ornamental Details: The front uprights feature an elegant stylised floral motif carving (palmette), which gives impetus to the architectural structure of the armchair. The legs are sabre-shaped, ensuring stability and stylistic consistency.
Cladding: The set is currently covered in a precious green velvet with cream-colored decorations that recall imperial-inspired garland and palmette motifs. The seat is finished with a perfectly preserved brass studded metal border (bullets).
State of Conservation: The armchairs are in excellent structural condition. The wood shows the natural patina of time. The velvet is well taut and has no tears, ready to be placed in a context of high representation.
