Exceptional vintage amphora in Italian artistic ceramic produced for the French market. The vase is a perfect example of neo-archaic style, decorated with the complex "sgraffito" technique which depicts a winged griffin surrounded by geometric motifs. The body is embellished with two circular medallions in relief and twisted handles. This piece represents the excellence of Italian export manufacturing of the 1950s, combining the charm of archeology with modern post-war design.
