The pair of sconces is distinguished by its elegant and symmetrical line, strongly inspired by the classical canons of the Empire style.
The Wall Support (Plate): The fixing base consists of a circular domed plate, richly carved with a radial pattern of embossed acanthus leaves, typical of neoclassical decorative apparatus.
The Arms: A main stem branches off from the central plate, masked by a large lanceolate acanthus leaf, from which three curvilinear arms (flames) branch off. Each arm is entirely carved with an overlapping foliage (or garland) motif, which gives dynamism and plasticity to the structure.
The Candle Holders: The arms end in podded and knurled bobeche (drip plates).
