Danish chairs designed by Erik Buch always manage to convey a feeling of comfort even before being used. The lines are light, essential, but behind this apparent simplicity there is a very precise study of the proportions and the way the body relates to the sitting. In this set, the presence of armrests makes the whole even more welcoming, transforming traditional dining chairs into elements designed for a more relaxed and informal conviviality.
Teak defines the profile with soft, continuous lines, typical of Danish production in the 1960s, while the padding introduces a warmer, more domestic component. The light orange fabric accompanies the wood without creating a stiff contrast: the shade is soft, bright, sunny, and helps give the entire set a much more lively presence than the classic Nordic seats with neutral colors.
When viewed together around a table, these chairs can instantly create atmosphere. The structure maintains a certain visual lightness, but the combination of teak, warm fabric and armrests gives a more enveloping and personal feeling, very much linked to the idea of domestic conviviality typical of Scandinavian design of the period.
