Item description

Description The Tucroma series represents one of the most iconic projects of high-end Italian design of the period, celebrated for the innovative use of industrial materials and soft surfaces applied to executive and domestic furniture. In this configuration, the system acquires an even rarer character thanks to the intense green cloth upholstery entirely covering the external structures. These are not lacquered surfaces, but a true textile covering that gives chromatic depth, tactile softness, and a remarkably scenographic presence. The matte texture of the cloth interacts beautifully with the polished chromed steel profiles and the smoked glass doors, creating an extremely elegant contrast between warm materiality and technical precision. Design & Function The main cabinet features large doors upholstered in taupe suede leather, characterized by natural shades, irregularities, and tonal variations that emphasize the authentic and sophisticated quality of the material. Alongside it, the vertical element with smoked glass door introduces a more technical and architectural presence, visually lightening the composition through dark reflective surfaces. The interiors, entirely finished in green tones with glass shelves, create a remarkable chromatic continuity and demonstrate the high construction quality typical of the most important i4 Mariani productions. Materials & Aesthetic The overall aesthetic recalls the executive and luxury interiors of the 1970s between Milan, London, and New York: rigorous, geometric, and modernist, yet deeply material and sensory. The dialogue between surfaces is particularly interesting: the matte green cloth, the naturally shaded suede leather, the smoked glass, and the mirror-polished chromed steel coexist in an extremely refined and surprisingly contemporary balance. The result is a rare and highly scenographic ensemble, difficult to find in this complete material configuration.
