Item description

Oil on canvas. Signed G. Ramano and dated 1861 lower left. French school. Nisida is framed from the Neapolitan coast, the small island belonging to the archipelago of the Flegrean islands, located at the extreme offshoot of the Posillipo hill. On the shore in the foreground, some fishermen haul their nets ashore at the end of the working day, under the setting sun. The painting shows traces of previous restorations. It is presented in an early 1900s frame.
