This Butilux chest of drawers from the 1960s interprets the Scandinavian Modern design language through an essential and highly material construction, where teak becomes the true protagonist of the project. The surface develops continuously, crossed by linear veins and warm shades that react to light in a soft and natural way, providing a sensation of depth and balance. The front marked by the drawers builds a regular and measured rhythm, which contributes to an orderly and very clean visual perception. The proportions are compact but well balanced, allowing the piece of furniture to fit naturally into both contemporary environments and more authentic Mid-Century interiors. As often happens in Danish production of the period, the character of the furniture does not derive from decorative elements, but from the quality of the proportions and the purity of the design. A chest of drawers designed to last over time, still capable today of introducing warmth, order and material presence with great discretion.
