Description: Ancient Neoclassical alabaster sculpture depicting Paolina Buonaparte belonging to the 19th century. The figure of Paolina has an uncovered bust while the lower part of the body is wrapped in a finely crafted drapery characterized by deep and regular folds that follow the anatomical shape of the legs. The composition is developed horizontally with the weight of the figure distributed on the left side. The left arm is bent and supports the head in a resting attitude while the right arm is stretched along the body with the hand resting on the thigh and holding the knob in its hand. The triclinium is decorated with fringed drapery and rests on four pyramidal feet adorned with acanthus leaves. Conditions: Excellent condition. Provenance: 19th century France.
