Item description

This Florentine Baroque-style scroll frame is made of finely carved and gilded wood. It displays typical Tuscan craftsmanship, with its leafy volutes, volutes and tracery surrounding the central rectangular mirror. Material: Hand-carved wood (often light woods such as linden) and gilded with gold leaf. Period: Although its design evokes the Baroque splendor of the 17th and 18th centuries, this specific model, in small to medium sizes, was reproduced in the second half of the 19th century, particularly in Tuscany. Condition: The mirror shows signs of age and oxidation of the reflective surface (common in antique mercury mirrors), giving it an authentic vintage charm.
