This walnut chest is the result of a skillful modification of an original Baroque chest, resized in the 20th century in Italy. On the front, an elaborate carving with a central coat of arms is supported by cherubs, embellished with leafy scrolls that lend movement and grace. The uprights feature finely carved pilasters, while the double-bracketed, scroll-carved legs add a touch of structural elegance.
