Dimensions: H92 x W133 x D49 cm. This low sideboard, dating to the mid-19th century (circa 1850) and an example of the Biedermeier style or provincial bourgeois cabinetmaking, features two doors and two drawers side by side, resting on slightly tapered, truncated legs. The surface has a warm brown tone with a finish that enhances the natural grain of the wood. Decorative details include drawer profiles, door frames, and vertical supports adorned with meticulously crafted geometric moldings repeated in dentils or chain-like lines. The door panels are vertically punctuated by molded strips, giving a three-dimensional effect to the façade. The hardware includes small central metal knobs on the drawers and a lock on the left door. Restored condition.
