Originally these lamps were oil lamps, the mechanism with the wick has been modified in order to electrify them and make them more comfortable and modern. They are also prepared for the use of a lampshade (see photo), which is not supplied so that everyone can choose the preferred color and shape to match their decor. The solid base and the upper leaf decorations are in gilded bronze, fine and elegant workmanship makes the old wick mechanism very ornamental and pleasing. The lamps were made in France between 1920 and 1923, for their manufacture has been used an opaline glass of the first choice, then a skilled painter-artist has painted by hand and in relief delicate flowers, shoots, and graceful leaves, putting meticulous attention to detail and choosing soft and pleasant colors. The lamps have these paintings on the front and back, so they are enjoyable at 360°. The electrical system is new but the wiring is European, the compatibility of the voltage in other countries must always be verified by an electrician before use.
