Item description

Antique Italian painting from the second half of the 17th century. Oil painting on canvas depicting mythological subject Venus and Cupid in the Vulcan's forge of excellent pictorial hand. Modern chiselled and gilded frame (bronze tint) of beautiful decoration. Painting of great size and impact, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors of old paintings. Painting rich in characters and decorative elements, fabulous decoration. Work that has recently undergone a conservative restoration, re-tinting, replacement of the frame and resumption of colour in several places (see photo). In good condition with some signs of time. Light painting H 99 x W 127 cm.
