Item description

Antique religious painting from the 17th century (Austria/Germany, under study). Oil on panel work depicting Salome with the head of the Baptist by an excellent painterly hand. Exceptional size painting, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors of ancient sacred art. Board characterised by bright colours and interesting perspective, lacking a frame. Impressive work, ideal for inclusion in a salon or study. Painting that has undergone a conservative restoration with the addition of wooden reinforcements in the back (see photo). Paintings with several falls and lifts of colour (see photo) to be restored. In beautiful patina.
