18th century oils on canvas depicting 4 landscapes with figures.
The paintings are of a fairly good pictorial quality and are very decorative, probably made by a painter from central Italy around the middle of the 18th century for use above the door of an elegant salon or palace corridor.
The paintings are on the first canvas, i.e. they have never received restoration work and are therefore original to all intents and purposes.
Despite this, they are in a good state of preservation in the pictorial surface.
One of the 4, however, has suffered a few more falls than the others in the paint layer and is in a slightly more precarious state than the other 3.
Through restoration, these small gaps can be resolved and a cleaning of the painting would certainly result in more vivid and dazzling colours.
Upon request, we can have the restoration carried out by experienced restorers.
Upon sale of these canvases we issue a certificate of guarantee attesting to their age and authenticity.
