Item description

Old Flemish painting from the 17th century. Oil painting on canvas portraying a portrait of a noblewoman by an excellent painterly hand. Painting of beautiful size and great impact with wooden frame not contemporary, the twentieth century, carved, lacquered, gilded and adapted to the painting. Charming portrait characterised by a particular headdress and book/coffer in the hands of the gentlewoman (see photo). Painting that has undergone a conservative restoration, re-tinting, frame replacement and colour restoration in some points (see photo). Painting in overall good condition. Light painting H 88 x W 70,5 cm.
