Item description

Italian painting of the first half of the twentieth century. Oil painting on canvas depicting fabulous view of the lake with mountains in the background of excellent pictorial hand. Painting of great size and pleasant brightness characterized by particular shades of color in the water and in the mountains covered with snow and hit by the sun (see photo). Work signed in the lower left corner C. Bentivoglio (see photo) referable to the famous painter Cesare Bentivoglio (1868-1952) lacking authentication and additional documentation. Wood and plaster frame finely carved and gilded (bronze tint) structurally sound, with some small signs of time (see photo). Work in first canvas that has undergone a slight restoration with patch visible on the back (see photo). Painting overall in good state of preservation with some small signs of time. Light painting H 68 x L 98 cm.
