Item description

Old Italian painting from the end of the 19th century. Oil painting on canvas depicting a portrait of a graceful old woman in period clothing with a good pictorial hand. Wooden frame, not contemporary, from the 20th century, carved, gilded and adapted to the painting. Finely painted portrait in the smallest details characterised by a good luminosity and a pleasant use of light and shadows (see photo). It presents in the upper right corner of the background (not on the character) several small colour fades (see photo) to be taken up. Unsigned work. In fair condition with some signs of time.
