Item description

Antique Italian painting from the 17th century. Oil on canvas work of the Neapolitan school depicting a typical subject of the representations of the famous dynasty of Recco painters, fabulous still life with fish and fisherman's tools of excellent pictorial hand. Modern wood and plaster frame pleasantly carved and gilded (see photo). Horizontal painting, characterised by an excellent use of light and reflections on the scales (see photo), the darting twisting of the fish creates great dynamism (see photo). A painting of excellent proportion, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors of 17th century genre painting. Work that has undergone conservative restoration, re-tinting, frame replacement and colour restoration in some places (see photo). In good condition. Light painting H 59 x W 88.5 cm.
