Item description

Italian painting from the end of the 19th / beginning of the 20th century. Oil on canvas painting depicting Madonna and Child in old Byzantine style with a good pictorial hand. Wooden frame from the 20th century, carved and gilded, with beautiful decoration. Painting of great size and impact, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors of sacred art. Canvas with two small holes/drops of colour on the Madonna's clothes (centre left) (see photo) which can be easily restored. A painting of great pictorial intensity and character, ideal for a salon or study. Painting that has undergone a conservative restoration with restoration of the colour in some points during the 20th century. In good condition with some signs of time. Light painting H 99 x W 74 cm.
