Napoleon III style chest of drawers with Flanders marble top, 19th century
A refined French Napoleon III chest of drawers in exotic precious woods dating from the second half of the 19th century. Moved on both the front and sides, it is a true masterpiece of fine cabinet-making. Plated internally with various woods, it is embellished with gilded bronze ornaments such as lock handles and foot escutcheons. The front features two large drawers inlaid with floral motifs, while an apron characterises the lower part. A very elegant marble slab profiled in 'bec de corbin' rests on the top. Provenance: 19th century France. Measurements: 155x63 H94cm. General condition: Restored by our master craftsmen using the traditional handmade shellac and alcohol method.
