Gianfranco Frattini was one of the most influential designers of the mid century italian movement, graduated in architecture from the Milan polytechnic, worked in Giò Ponti's studio before moving on to open his own studio in Milan. He worked as an architect and above all as a designer, collaborating with artisans and industries in Brianza. The 101 model chair created for Cassina is one of his most famous projects. Made of mahogany and embellished with refined details such as the bevel of the structure and the junction pins that disappear perfectly into the frame. These chairs are in excellent condition and have been professionally restored.
