Item description

Charles X secrètaire in exotic fine wood with maple inlay grafts. The upper part consists of a folding top concealing an open area designed as an arched letterbox compartment and part below ink compartments. The folding top is covered with leather layer bordered by elegant firebrand frieze. The lower body, much simpler in its construction, consists of two feet terminating in a solid base. The interior is made of maple and still retains original keys and locks of the period. The top reclines and is easily used as a storage compartment. The cabinet is in excellent condition and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
