Item description

Old Italian painting from the 18th century. Oil on canvas work depicting portrait of a noblewoman sewing by a good painterly hand. Non-coeval carved, gilded frame adapted to the painting, of beautiful decoration. Painting of good size and impact, elegantly painted maiden in the minutest details of her dress and floral hairstyle (see photo). Work that has undergone conservation restoration, re-staining, frame replacement and colour restoration in several places (see photo). Painting in overall good state of preservation with some signs of restoration. Light painting H 79 x W 56 cm.
