Item description
Group of eight Biedermeier-style wall sconces of Viennese manufacture datable to the 1920s-30s. The support consists of a podded vase-shaped element with a floral corolla forming the lower part. The upper rim is also podded and pierced. From the vase branch off leaf elements and five supporting arms, the central one and the outer ones with floral corollas and curls, and the other two with leafy scrolls. Large floral corollas also serve as supports for the candles. Entirely made of carved and gilded wood, the arms and curls that decorate them are made of metal. They were electrified in later times.
