Green glazed terracotta jar made in China during the Han period (206 B.C.-220 A.D.). The lid represents the five sacred mountains, the path between Earth and Heaven, Mount Bo and Mount Kunlun, two Taoist sacred mountains; it evokes the journey of the deceased to the immortal realms. In the central band there is a scene of animals among the mountains.
