Item description

Antique Master chair with armrests; the backrest has a linear and refined design made of the best quality European walnut; the armrests have a truly harmonious and elegant curvilinear pattern and are tastefully connected to the backrest and seat; the legs are simple, with a square section, slightly curved downwards; the chair was handcrafted in the Napoleon III (late Empire) style between 1870 and 1875 in a cabinet-making workshop in the French commune of Liffon-le-Grand, located in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region. Due to its preciousness and its particular technical characteristics, walnut wood lends itself to a great variety of uses, but always in very high quality contexts, making it particularly appreciated in the luxury furniture sector. The seat of the chair has recently been covered with a prestigious, rare and very expensive fabric produced by Dedar, it is a white Moirè fabric combined with a fine black satin velvet, this combination has created an exceptional contrast of style and timeless elegance. which involves us pleasantly. Moirè is a one-color silk or silk blend fabric. It has a shiny and silky appearance with an optical reflection consisting of characteristic sinusoidal ripples of a light-dark color that change according to whether they reflect the light; it is obtained thanks to the use of special yarns and wefts. This operation is called in Italian "marbling".
