Item description
The Virgola armchair, designed by Yaakov Kaufman for Arflex, has a steel frame with molded polyurethane padding and polyester fiber, springing on elastic straps, legs in aluminum or black painted steel and removable cover in fabric or fixed in leather. Playful design for a piece of furniture that certainly does not go unnoticed: the Virgola armchair transmits personality to any environment. In production since 1991. Yaacov Kaufman lives in Poland until 1957, then he moves to Israel. He graduated from the Bat-Yam Institute of Art, department of sculpture, then became professor of industrial design at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. He carries out projects in collaboration with Tecno, Arflex, Lumina Italiana, Seccose, Porro, Edizioni Galleria Colombari and others. In 1989 he was awarded the Sandberg Prize for Israeli Art at the Israel Museum, for research and development in industrial design.
