Item description

This beautiful piece is made of crackle lacquered ceramic, has a label on the bottom and was made in Italy between the 1960s and 1970s. It is a vintage piece, so it may show slight traces of use, but it can be considered to be in excellent original condition and ready to become a piece of home. Giacomo Onestini's ceramics are characterised by a very high quality, which stems from a courageous search for new formal solutions and alchemical experimentation with mixtures and glazes. Born in Faenza, Onestini loved Cervia so much that he lived there for more than forty years until his death. He set up his workshop and kilns in Cervia Terme, but always kept alive his curiosity for stylistic and technical experimentation, also from beyond the Alps, and opened the doors of his workshop to interesting collaborations. Among these, at the end of the 1960s, was the one with the 'Ernestine' factory in Salerno, for which he signed a prestigious collection with a rationalist flavour, which included vases, potholders, lamps, umbrella stands, planters and sculptures. Width: 14 cm, depth: 12 cm, height: 10 cm.
