Item description

Description: Two-and-a-half-drawer chest of drawers with a frame panelled in exotic woods and inlaid with fine wood essences surmounted by a character top with a floral-patterned medallion in the center. The front is punctuated by two large drawers and a smaller one, arranged in three tracks, both graphically emphasized by two rounds of threading. A beautiful internally inlaid reserve frames the two large drawers with a beautiful medallion depicting a basket with flowers in the center. The under-shelf band is enriched with a dense inlay bearing figures of doves holding a basket with flowers. Typical truncated pyramidal feet ennobled by fillets arranged at the head to emphasize the corners. Condition: In good condition. Provenance: 18th-century Lombardy. Measurements: 126x60 H91cm.
