Item description

Antique French painting from the 18th century. Oil on canvas work depicting mythological subject Love and Psyche of excellent painterly hand. Painting of great size and impact adorned with non-coeval wood and plaster frame, adapted to the painting, carved and gilded. Painting of excellent luminosity and fabulous decor for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors of ancient mythological painting. Work depicting Cupid and Psyche embracing on the banks of a river, around them some elements of vegetation and winged putti playing. In the background classical architecture and blue sky (see photo). Very pleasant painting, easily placed in different places in the house. Work that has undergone conservation restoration, rintelo, frame replacement and color restoration in some places (see photo). Frame with some signs of restoration, painting overall in good condition. Light painted H 72 x W 90 cm.
