Item description

Napoleon III flap desk, made in France in the 19th century. Exotic woods structure with floral inlays and chiseled gilded bronze decorative elements. The flap conceals a top with leather cloth decorated with 24kt gold leaf, a pair of small drawers and open compartments. It has been restored with traditional method using shellac and alcohol.
