Item description

Old Italian painting from the 18th century. Oil on canvas painting depicting a particular classical genre scene on a bucolic landscape with a good painting hand. Nicely sized and attractively decorated painting with non-coeval, 20th century wooden frame, carved, gilded and silver-plated. Frame with fabric passe-partout with some minor signs of wear. Work of pleasant perspective and good luminosity, characters in classical clothing finely depicted, very beautiful the two mothers with swaddled children on the left (see picture). Painting that develops in depth with a small glimpse of the sea on the left (see photo). Work that has undergone conservation restoration, re-staining, frame replacement and colour repainting in places (see photo). Painting in overall good state of conservation. Light painting H 59 x W 73.5 cm.
