Item description

The structure consists of a round base in nickel-plated metal covered by a plastic support on which the switch is housed, above this off-centre base a round frame is fixed, also in nickel-plated metal, inside which find the attachment for the single large bulb and it is on this frame that the glass sphere covering the light point is placed, which can be solidly blocked with three screws placed on the edge of the frame and on the bottom of the same there are four ventilation holes for cooling. The staggering of the two metal parts is very original and gives the lamp an aesthetically valuable movement. The spheres of the couple are made of hand-blown white shaded lattimo glass and, at the top, have a beautiful and characteristic hollow pattern whose center is bright orange. When they are illuminated, the milky glass is expressed in all its particular beauty, and wonderful golden reflections emanate from the workmanship of the upper part. We can attribute them with good certainty to the Mazzega company of Murano, which has often used this type of material color combinations in its works. These crystals are all the more homogeneous the higher the concentration of zinc oxide in the mixture. This type of glass is widely used in Murano, in objects but above all in lighting due to its ability to diffuse light in a soft and uniform way. The lamps are in good condition. The electrical system is functional but the wiring is European, voltage compatibility in other countries should always be checked by an electrician before use.
