Biedermeier walnut and briar-root secrétaire, 19th century
Biedermeier secrétaire made in the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the second quarter of the 19th century. Walnut structure partially panelled with briar-root. Front with flap door concealing a walnut and cherry wood panelled compartment with a writing surface and three drawers. Tympanum cymatium with notch. All-round column uprights with chiseled gilt bronze capitals. Interior of drawers in pine and oak. Replaced feet.
