Item description

Ebonized mahogany secretaire. Front richly inlaid with mother-of-pearl brass sheet, pairs of mirrored dragons surrounded by scrolls and floral and leafy compositions, festoons, and central vases. Drawer in the band below the top, drop-down door concealing a cabinet with open compartments in mahogany burl and three additional drawers below. Slightly projecting Doric column uprights, onion-shaped feet. Gray marble top. Italy, 19th century.
