Item description

Art Nouveau sideboard made between the late 19th century and the early 20th century. Wooden structure with gilded and lacquered carving decorations; brass-covered frames and partially gilded copper plate hardware. Equipped with two doors and two drawers in the lower part, glass cabinet and shelves supported by thin turned uprights in the upper one. Decorated with ceramic panels: four of them have painted floral motifs, one of them the bas-relief allegory of painting. There is an undecipherable signature while on the back is visible the Goldscheider Wien mark, referable to the Viennese pottery manufacture, and, engraved, the numbers "0764 / 16 / 30."
