Item description
Resin Goto vase by Gaetano Pesce, 1990s. Made for Caffè Florian in Venice for the temporary exhibition during the 1995 Venice Biennale. Printed on the body of the vase is the text "Toast to Venice". On the bottom is the inscription "Domus 1995 - Florian Temporanea". Each Goto vase is different from the other and is a unique piece because resin of different colors was poured into the mold during its making. This piece belongs to the First Edition. Up to 500 pieces of these vases were produced; the vases were later reproduced but in semi-transparent resin and in many more pieces, up to 5,000 pieces.
