Murano glass bottle from the "Morandiane" series by Paolo Venini and Gio Ponti for Venini, 1980s. The collection is so named because it was inspired by the paintings of artist Giorgio Morandi, who made the bottles the distinctive image of his works. The series was conceived in 1956, this bottle is from 1988; date and signature "Venini" are visible on the bottom.
The technique used in the making of this bottle is that of "rods" ("canne"), green and blue "rods" are in fact alternated. Perfect and intact in every part, without any kind of breakage. The stopper is original.
