Armchair-sculpture homage to Surrealism. The green apple and the black bowler hat, recurring elements in René Magritte's works, are united by Matta's visionary imagination in an armchair made of polyurethane foam and covered with fabric. The ABS hat serves as the structure while the apple, made of soft polyurethane foam and covered with elastic cloth, becomes a comfortable and soft seat.
The name MagriTTA, with this particular use of upper and lower case letters, combines the surnames Matta and Magritte, thus amplifying the tribute of a great artist to another great artist.
It shows light signs of wear due to age.
