Item description

Lombard school oil on canvas painting from the second half of the 17th century depicting a peasant woman with eggs. Fabulous and rare subject, difficult to find. Done on a dark background and characterized by a strong contrast with the brightness of the character and decorative elements. Painting that has undergone conservation restoration, frame replacement, color restoration in some spots and that has been restretched (see photos). Adorned with 19th-century carved and gilded frame with some signs of wear (see photos). Size without frame: 73 x 60 cm.
