Item description

Fine French sculpture from the mid-20th century. Finely chiselled terracotta object depicting a bust of a nobleman with wig, in 18th century dress, of excellent quality. A sculpture of great size and impact, complete with base glued to the bust during the 20th century. Base has undergone restoration (see photo), now solid and in good condition. Finished centrepiece sculpture ideal for inclusion in a salon or study, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors. Object in beautiful patina with no stamps, marks or signatures. Work in overall good state of preservation with some minor signs of time.
