Item description

French oil painting depicting a country landscape with building and figure in the style of the Barbizon School, late 19th century (circa 1880s). Size without frame: approximately 24 x 33 cm. The signature detail photo has been brightened to increase contrast. Edges with rubbing marks; small restoration of the sky for a total of less than 3% of the surface; slight crackle effect consistent with age; canvas stretched on board.
