Two plaster busts of Apollo and Vener dei Medici from a plaster cast gallery of the Sicilian Academy of Fine Arts. Plaster was patinated in different ways, this was done with black and gray for a surprising result also given the time, they were probably used for theater sets or other sets. Plaster was a common material for sculpture, known for its versatility and ability to capture the finest details; the use of patina involves the application of a thin layer of color on the surface of the sculpture. This technique adds a luxurious and classic aesthetic to the piece. 20cm in diameter.
