Large oil painting on canvas by glass master and artist Silvio Vigliaturo, 2007. Majestic work with a fluid and swirling stroke typical of the master representing a decomposed face with a pop style. Painting that alternates textural touches used to create plays of light that bring out ton sur ton shapes and smooth textures. The master's way of depicting reality is bursting and dynamic; all his works are a riot of colors and unusual shapes. Silvio Vigliaturo was born in Acri, Calabria, in 1949 and at a very young age moved to Chieri, in the province of Turin. In 1977, he participated in the Italian pavilion at the 54th Venice Biennale; from then on, his exhibitions and solo shows around the world would be numerous. The work is signed at lower right and dated 2007. It is in an excellent state of preservation and has no defects of any kind.
