Item description

Fumoir armchair by Poltrona Frau, 1980s-90s. This model is inspired by the eighteenth-century low-backed "a pozzetto" armchair, particularly suited to the upright posture one assumes around a table or in a waiting room. Two armchairs available (price per piece). Limited run: no. 3438 (pictured) and no. 3433. They have brass front casters and feature the lozenge stitching of the backrest. The supporting structure is made of seasoned beech. The springing of the seat is achieved with hand-tied steel biconical springs resting on jute straps. The padding is rubberized horsehair. Upholstery is full-grain calfskin leather FRAU® COLORSPHERE | SC 184 (discontinued, which makes them even rarer). Display items in perfect condition. They are sold together with certificate of origin and inspection coupon.
