Item description

French Louis XIV bedside table in green lacquered wood with grafts of polychrome paintings. The front has two drawers bearing a central medallion with a gallant scene in the centre. The side drawers have a convex shape with an accentuated recess and bear a design depicting a basket with flowers. The two feet have a curvilinear shape and end with skilfully chiselled bronze socks. The two drawers are removable by means of gilded copper handles bearing the date 'Dubois 1683'. In need of restoration. Provenance France, late 17th century. Measurements: 75x43 cm, H 87 cm. Certificate of Authenticity. We are at your disposal for further clarification or photographic details.
