Space Age lamp by Carlo Nason for Mazzega, 1970s. It is made of hand-blown white and orange Murano glass. The tapered futuristic orange base crowned with a white globe enhances the Space Age style, based on the idea of the world after the success of atomic energy and space travel. The lower and upper sections are joined by a large chromed steel ring, typical of Nason's style. The lamp provides pleasant lighting that enriches any modern interior. There are two light sources, in the upper part and in the base, which makes it even more futuristic once turned on. Nason's design is one of the most recognizable in terms of the mid-century modern Italian style of Murano blown glass lighting and is closely associated with Mazzega. The flawless functionality of the lamp has been meticulously inspected and verified. It remains in excellent original vintage condition. The plug and switch are original and work perfectly. The lamp lights up entirely with just one switch. It requires two E27 bulbs. Cable length: 330 cm. Diffuser diameter: 30 cm. The base is 52 cm high and has a diameter of 27 cm.
