Item description

Italian school of the first half of the 18th century. Oil painting on canvas depicting a refined landscape with a good painterly hand. In the foreground we find numerous figures accompanying animals to pasture while we glimpse some moored ships on the left. In the background we recognise a village and a castle with a medieval watchtower. Non-contemporary carved and gilded wooden frame with some signs of time. Painting that has undergone restoration with re-staining, replacement of the frame and repainting in places (see photo), overall in good state of preservation. Light painting H 27.5 x W 32.5 cm.
