Antique Neapolitan Louis Philippe secretaire belonging to the first half of the 19th century. The front is characterised at the top by an under-top drawer highlighted by a keyhole and a hinged door below containing a series of drawers and secret compartments. Underneath the face door are two drawers also highlighted by a round wooden boss and another drawer embedded in the base. The two fluted cantons finish with finely carved elements in a leaf motif. The interior is made of maple wood typical of Neapolitan cabinet-making culture. Provenance Naples, 19th century. Measurements: 107x49 cm, H 164 cm.
